Going the extra mile... (+)
We wanted a tricky combination of musicians for our wedding – a harpist for the ceremony, a cocktail pianist for the dinner and Motown band with a string section for the evening entertainment. I didn’t know where to start looking then a friend recommended Bells & Whistles, and so I called them straight away. Within 24 hours they had lined up all the musicians we wanted for the day, arranged all the details, start times, set lengths, attire and directions, and all within our budget. It honestly couldn’t have been easier. Bells & Whistles took care of every detail right through to the event itself and we were bowled over by the quality of the acts. I’ve been charged with organising the entertainment for our Christmas party for the last three years and it’s always stressful. This year I had a hunt around on the internet and found Bells and Whistles, and thought “why not leave to them to come with something different” so I emailed them. Within an hour we were discussing possibilities, and the next day they called back with several great suggestions of varying costs. We ended up choosing an eight piece punk-folk skiffle band with brass section and it was honestly the most fun we’ve ever had dancing! The energy was terrific and everyone’s normal reserve went right out of the window. I have literally no idea how we’ll beat that next year, but I’m hoping these guys will come up with something! They came through even when faced with disaster! (+)
My wife and I had booked a funk soul band some time ago for our golden wedding anniversary party this year. Everything was set and booked – and then a day before the event we heard that the singer had broken his leg and was unable to perform! Naturally we were very disappointed, and had no idea how to get some performers for our party but the guys at Bells and Whistles assured us that they’d handle it as part of their Guarantee, and find an equally good alternative. Within 4 hours, Alan called me back and told me they had an alternative band on standby for our event, same costs and conditions, who were happy to learn the songs we’d requested for the night. We were doubtful but amazed! On the night the guys turned up, were totally professional and did a fantastic job – I do believe they may have been better than our original act, the quality was so good. Thanks so much to the team for doing everything to put right what could have been a nightmare… Will definitely use again (maybe for our Diamond anniversary, fingers crossed!) Tommy, April 2016

When booking a tribute band for my sister’s birthday, the guys at Bells and Whistles talked me through every stage of the booking, explained all the costs and gave me a range of alternatives within different budgets when I realised my funds wouldn’t stretch to what I originally wanted (a big band with a Sinatra style singer!) The result was great – we had a five piece jazz band with the singer and it sounded as good as anything. Such a great night. Would use again without any hesitation. Sarah, April 2018.
